The New Zealand Primary Healthcare Awards | He Tohu Mauri Ora recognise and support excellence in primary healthcare.

​

Launched in 2020 by The Health Media, the awards seek to encourage collaboration and innovation in the primary care sector as it works to achieve equity in health outcomes.

​

Throughout the world, a strong primary care sector is recognised as crucial to a successful health system, providing quality personal care, health improvement strategies, screening programmes and early intervention.

​

In Aotearoa, the awards provide a showcase for new models of care and allow the wider health sector and the public to see how hard the sector works to improve the health and wellbeing of family and whānau.

​

The outstanding work of awards entrants is judged by a panel of peers in search of a new constellation of “primary stars”.
